Role Overview
As a Volunteer Sales Prospector, you will play a critical role in expanding our reach by identifying and engaging potential partners, clients, and organizations aligned with our mission. This 3-month remote engagement is an excellent opportunity to build your skills in sales prospecting, lead generation, and sustainability while making a meaningful contribution to the green job movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify potential leads and opportunities within the sustainability and green jobs sectors.
- Initiate outreach efforts to introduce Green Jobs Everywhere to potential clients and partners through email, phone, and social media.
- Qualify leads to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and value proposition.
- Maintain and organize lead information using CRM tools or spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and share insights from the field.
- Support scheduling and coordination of meetings, presentations, and demos for senior team members.
- Track and report on outreach activities, progress, and outcomes throughout the engagement period.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and proactive with excellent organizational abilities.
- Passion for sustainability, renewable energy, or environmental initiatives.
- Basic understanding of sales processes and prospecting (training will be provided if necessary).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (preferred but not required).
